Our stand for Dundas

NO TIF FOR DUNDAS was created to oppose public subsidy for the development of Stoneridge Hills 2nd Addition. We believe in responsible growth that benefits our community without burdening taxpayers. Discover why this matters to you and how you can make a difference.

Why we're here

NO TIF FOR DUNDAS was formed out of a deep concern for our community's future. The City Council has approved significant amendments to the PUD for the Stoneridge Hills 2nd Addition, allowing the development to go from 34 to 60 lots, AND use a public subsidy (TIF District) to do so.  This will freeze the amount of tax available to the city/county at the bare land current rate.  This change will also make it the densest R1 zoned single-family residential area in Dundas. We believe this increased density and burden of the TIF district are not in the best interest of Dundas.

The TIF District problem

This would mean paying back up to 5.8 million dollars to the developer over approximately 24 years. This financial burden on our community is unacceptable, especially for a development that is already pushing the limits of our zoning and infrastructure. We advocate for fiscal responsibility and transparent use of public funds.

Your voice matters

After understanding the details, the most important step you can take is to voice your concerns. Your participation is crucial in demonstrating to our city council that the residents of Dundas are united in opposing this plan. Your presence and input can significantly influence the outcome and protect our community from unnecessary financial strain and undesirable development.

Make your voice heard at the Dundas City Council Meeting on April 13th, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
