I am writing to express my opposition to both the proposed amendments that would increase the number of residential lots in the Stoneridge Hills 2nd Addition development and the request for Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to support it. Increasing density beyond what is typical for existing R-1 neighborhoods raises concerns about compatibility with surrounding areas and long-standing zoning expectations. Public subsidies such as TIF should be used carefully and only when there is a clear public benefit. I respectfully ask the City Council to deny the density amendments and the TIF request for Stoneridge Hills 2nd Addition.
